We are proud to announce our 2013 Produce Vendors!
The Morton Grove Farmers’ Market welcomes back these beloved farmers:
- Benhart Farms
- Blankenship Farm
- Lyons Fruit Farm
- Patyk Farms
- Twin Garden Farms (corn season only)
- Wright Way Farm from Beloit, WI is our newest farm. Wright Way Farm is certified organic by the Midwest Organic Services Association, Inc. (MOSA)!
Our vendor coordinator Peggy is hard at work meeting with prospective vendors to round out our market. If you know of someone interested in selling artisan food products or a prepared food in the Morton Grove Farmers’ Market, please let Peggy know at email@example.com. All items must be prepared locally, no resellers allowed.
In addition to food vendors, the Farmers’ Market is also seeking volunteers and sponsors.
For the first time the market will be able to accept Illinois Link cards as well as credit and debit cards.
But to make all of that happen, market manager Kristina Otte, who originally organized the Morton Grove market, said volunteers are needed, primarily to greet shoppers and help them find what they are looking for.
“We need people to man the welcome booth,” she said. “They just help out at the market and introduce people to the market.”
Volunteers can work in two-hour blocks as little as once a month, Otte said.
